October 2025 is poised to be a significant month for smartphone buyers as leading brands prepare to unveil their flagship models globally, starting with China. Among the most anticipated devices are the OnePlus 15 and iQOO 15, both expected to deliver substantial performance upgrades over previous models. Early leaks and teasers have already fueled excitement among tech enthusiasts.
Both smartphones will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, promising top-tier performance for gaming, multitasking, and AI-driven applications.
The upcoming OnePlus 15 is set to feature a flat 1.5K display with a 165Hz refresh rate. Reports indicate the inclusion of an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor for enhanced security. Battery capacity is expected to reach 7,500 mAh, supporting 100W fast charging, which could offer extended usage without frequent recharges.
Camera specifications are likely to include a triple-lens setup with three 50-megapixel sensors: a primary lens, ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto lens capable of 3x optical zoom. These upgrades are aimed at strengthening OnePlus’s photography capabilities.
The iQOO 15 is rumored to sport a 6.8-inch LTPO 2K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Its screen may use Samsung’s Everest OLED technology and an AR anti-glare coating to improve outdoor visibility.
Under the hood, the device will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The camera system could include a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Battery capacity is expected to be 7,000 mAh, offering solid endurance.
According to reports, the iQOO 15 is expected to debut in China in October 2025, with an Indian launch projected between November 15 and 25. Price estimates range from Rs 60,000 to Rs 65,000. The OnePlus 15 is likely to arrive in India later, between December 15 and 25, with pricing expected to fall between Rs 65,000 and Rs 75,000.
